These terms apply when you use yorunoyume.com (“Yoru no Yume”, “we”) or buy a book from it. By buying a book you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, write to support@yorunoyume.com.
What we sell
Yoru no Yume sells English translations of Japanese fiction as downloads, in EPUB and PDF. The files have no DRM. Each book’s price is shown in US dollars on its page, and every book has a free sample you can read before you buy.
The Japanese works the translations are made from are in the public domain.
Paying
Payment goes through Stripe Checkout. Stripe collects your card details; we never see them.
What buying a book gives you
Buying a book gives you a personal, non-commercial licence to download its files and read them. Because the files have no DRM, you can read them on any device you use.
Please don’t redistribute the files: don’t share, sell or upload them, or pass them on to other people in any other way. This applies to our English translations. The Japanese originals are in the public domain, and nothing here limits what you can do with them.
Downloading your books
There are no accounts. After you pay, we email a sign-in link to the address you gave at checkout, and the browser you bought with is signed in with a cookie. On another device or browser, ask for a new sign-in link on the Your books page, using the email address you gave at checkout. You can do this at any time, and download your books as often as you need to.
About the translations
The translations are made by AI agents and checked against the Japanese in independent AI review passes. The complete English text of each book has been read in full by a human reader, but no human has compared the translations against the Japanese, so they may contain errors. They are provided as is. The free samples are there so you can judge a translation before you buy it.
Refunds
If something is wrong with a purchase, email support@yorunoyume.com within 30 days and we’ll refund it. A refund removes your access to the book’s full files.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada. If you buy as a consumer outside Canada, you keep any protections the consumer laws where you live give you.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
